Rain did NOT stop play.
Emma and Rob were gorgeous from the moment they enquired about my availability, right through to the moment I took my last photograph, as Rob was being whisked away on the shoulders of his large and spectacularly jovial army buddies….
I was greeted by the ever wonderful Liz at Cavendish Events on arrival and treated like an old friend by everyone all day long. It was lovely to see my fellow Hampden House buddy Jane Chambers who was on hand as the epic florist but mainly as a guest – her work is exquisite, and with her glowing personality, she is in my opinion the best of the best florists around here.
I’d like to mention the incredible band, straight outta Tring, Hertfordshire, The Measures were something else. I have never ever seen a soundcheck create such havoc on the dance floor…. It’s a soundcheck, good people, the clue is in the name!
However these guests were not to be deterred and demanded more songs and requests as they filled the floor with their jubilant vogueing…. and this was before the band actually started their set.
Ok so it rained, but nobody stopped laughing – ok so it poured, but so did the fizz and so did the beer, so whatever fell out of the sky really didn’t matter. We had a fantastic time, and this wedding really brought it home to me why I love shooting marquee weddings – especially minutes from home, in sunny (usually) Bucks.
