NICKY & PAUL – ROTHERWICK 28 03 09

You know that rainy weather symbol they use – the one with the black cloud and the rain with the big blue raindrops, going kind of sideways? Well that’s what we kept seeing on the five day forecast – but as usual THEY (whoever they are etc) got it all wrong and we had a pretty sunny day.

Anyway weather schmeather, it was a fab wedding, Nicky looked incredible. I embarrassed myself when I suggested to Lorraine (another FAVOURITE MAKE UP ARTIST) Milligan that I thought Nicky’s hair was finished and ready to go…and was quickly told that they had only just started. I thought it was going to be a Gwen Stefani, and it turned out to be a Grace Kelly. Yay – even better!

The marquee was breathtaking – very dark and sparkly, and made for some lovely atmospheric ambient shots over the speeches, and to top it all off, in the evening we were treated to the incredible sound of Fake Tan, without a shadow of a doubt the most entertaining band I have seen at any wedding to date.

So to sum it up: Great weather / Grace Kelly / A Roomful of Food & Chocolate for the Artistes / Super stylish Marquee / Fake Tan / AND a New Canon 35mm 1.4L Lens (Beeeep – nerd alert!)  It doesn’t get better than that.

Here’s a SLIDESHOW – it takes a few moments to load but is worth the wait
