Julie & Jonathan got married and had their wedding reception at the magnificent Lansdowne Club in Mayfair – I am one of the recommended wedding photographers at the Lansdowne, and it is always good to back, especially knowing how well Lucy, Marijke and the team run the weddings. It was the first time I have been priveleged to photograph the Jewish Bedecken, the moment where the groom covers the brides face with the veil prior to the wedding ceremony. Julie’s face was a picture of emotion and the solemnity of the moment was wonderful. This carried on through the ceremony, with the light just hitting her face in the right places.
The Lansdowne Club is great for the evening reception, lots of space, and two balconies, built solely for the purposes of daredevil wedding photographers, I have no doubt.
