Flicking through these pictures it warms my cockles that a consistent element in so many of them is laughter and smiles. Natural unrehearsed happiness, caught without interruption or intrusion. I work quickly. If I see an opportunity, I move in, get the picture and disappear just as fast. It’s imperative to get the shot, but as a disciple of Proper Wedding Etiquette™, it’s just as important to me not to ruin a moment.
I know I don’t show quite so many Hollywood-style portraits as some, but year on year I will never apologise for the bulk of my favourite photographs showing people, family, friends, joining together and so clearly having a darn good time at The Wedding of the Year.
