Wedding Photography Bucks bio picture

Welcome to my Blog.

It's an ever expanding portfolio from recent weddings, keeping past brides all wistful and bleary eyed, and future brides in touch with my latest images. There are also some snippets of things from the other half of my life...

I hope to see you here, snooping around, looking at photographs and slideshows, posting comments, or just stealing flower and table plan ideas,  - its up to you.

Our virtual fridge is full, and everything's turned up to 11. Make yourself at home...

Oh...and by the way, not that I enjoy home pages littered with key words....I'm recommended photographer at Blenheim Palace, Stoke Park Club, Hampden House, Hedsor House, Hengrave Hall, The Lansdowne Club, The Gherkin, and a few others. But I don't make a big song and dance about it.....please carry on

Hedsor House Photography – Laura & Simon September 2011

I was so excited about this wedding, for various reasons – but mainly because I had had such a lovely time with Laura and Simon through the meeting and planning stages. Even Laura’s initial phonecall had come through whilst I was playing rugby on the beach with my kids in Norfolk :)

Couple this with Dan Neatherway at From The Hip Video, a legend in his own lifetime and one of the very few videographers who don’t get in my pictures EVER, Hedsor House, my favourite wedding venue to photograph, and to cap it all the incredible Cavendish events doing the catering and ensuring everything runs to time. Dreamteam time.

The day was everything we had all hoped – starting with sideways rain, changing to hot sunshine, and ending with spectacular fireworks on the lawns of Hedsor House. I stayed around for a few beers and some fun after a ten and a half hour marathon shoot – that has to say something!

I edited this the day after the wedding and received this wonderful email from Laura – happy honeymoon!

Hi Guy,

Wow. We are just so so touched that you have been slaving away all day for us to be able to see our truly spectacular photos. We cannot thank you enough, you are one amazing man. Words cannot begin to say how thrilled we are with them, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your hard work, effort and skill at capturing our day so perfectly. We loved having you there as such an important part of our day and consider you a friend now. So many people commented on how fantastic you were. It was the best decision we made for our wedding to have you as our photographer.
I just adore your style of photography and have looked on your website over the last few months seeing all the wonderful weddings you have shot and for me to log onto your website and see ‘Laura and Simon – Hedsor House’ fills me with joy, that it is me there as the blushing bride, feeling beautiful marrying my gorgeous man. You have captured our most precious day and memories in such an incredible way and I will never be able to give you enough thanks for that.

I must go as must go to bed as off early on honeymoon (!) but thank you so so much Guy, we cannot explain how fabulous all your photos are, they are simply stunning. I want to carry on looking at them over and over again! I can’t sleep as I am so excited about our stunning photos and going on honeymoon!! Ha!

Chat when we are back, but this has been the best present ever to see our photos today, we never in a million years thought we would see them so quickly, it is truly wonderful. Thank you so so much Guy.

Love the extremely happy Mrs & Mrs M

Single File – Oakley Court Wedding Photography – Sophie & David September 2011

Just in the middle of editing Sophie and David’s wedding photographs at Oakley Court Hotel in Windsor, the middle of a triple wedding weekend. There’s lot’s of weddings to catch up here, but in the meantime (until I get holed up in the Barton Mills Travelodge later) here’s one I am rather liking – Sophie and David standing by the Thames at Oakley Court. The perspective and dimensions remind me of a cinema screen – and when your mum told you never to sit in the front row because it would make your eyes go crosseyed and stay there.

Or was that something to do with the wind changing? Anyway….

Single File – Hengrave Hall Wedding Photography

I was back at Hengrave Hall for two weddings this weekend, one of my favourite venues, and one that I am very pleased to be recommended by. Just editing Claire and Michael’s big day – and came across this, sneaked from the back of the church, in the grounds of Hengrave Hall. I like the light and the storytelling in the image. The strong lines of the pews tell us where we are, the little girl is framed nicely within them, and the fact that her mother is standing up tells us that something ‘Grown Up’ is going on :)

My guess is Angry Birds…
